Boy Kavalier, a grumpy billionaire played by Samuel Blenkin, is experimenting on hybrids by implanting the minds of infants into the bodies of adults. Having unbounded physical and cybernetic abilities, Wendy is the first hybrid.Wendy and her fellow synthesizers go into search and rescue after learning that her brother, Hermit (Alex Lawther), is a first responder looking into the crash of the tainted spaceship.
“Earth” serves many masters, including “Alien” fans, Disney and FX, seeking a hit that will bring in the film’s fans and newcomers while maintaining a coherent story. The series pleases all without giving into something gimmicky or tawdry, with the signature long-headed monster at its core.
